Role-playing
Would anyone be interested if I started posting more RP-related things here? Lilitharien has a whole backstory and such, and I’m looking to get more into actively RPing her again on my new server.
A Whole New World
As you may well know, I’ve recently completed a move cross-country—from New York, NY to San Francisco, CA. Because of this move I have switched time zones and have been unable to raid with the guild I was in on Thorium Brotherhood since I was without internet for two months and then, when we finally did get internet, I was unable to make their raid times with my new job.
Thus I have server-transferred yet again! This time to the pacific time realm of Wyrmrest Accord—currently the youngest RP realm in the game. My new guild is Instinct, and I’m currently of recruit status since I just started this past week. Progression is at 8/12 in Heroic Icecrown Citadel and the guild holds the server-first torch for pretty much everything.
I’m excited to really get back into raiding, though I am admittedly a bit rusty after 3 full months of not raiding at all. I’m not worried though—with a bit of practice I’ll be back in full swing.
New Priest T10 Bonus: Good or Bad?
As you’ve probably heard yesterday, there was an announcement on the World of Warcraft forums that the Priest Tier 10 4-piece set bonus has a proposed change for patch 3.3.3. The current 4-set is:
Your Circle of Healing and Penance spells have a 20% chance to cause your next Flash Heal cast within 6 sec to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance spells.
Which is a pretty interesting bonus. I, personally, wasn’t aiming for it because I’ve been doing more shield-spamming in raids lately than straight tank-healing. However, as Avalonna pointed out during the podcast, it’s a phenomenal bonus for tank healing.
Despite that, though, there have been a lot of complaints about the proc being too sporadic and not well-timed. This has prompted Blizzard to rethink the bonus and give us this instead:
Priest Tier-10 4-Piece Healing Set Bonus: Redesigned. This bonus now increases the effectiveness of the caster’s Power Word: Shield and Renew spells by 5%. (source)
Is this a good or bad thing?
Power Word: Fail, Give It a Listen!
The priest roundtable podcast I announced I was going to be on last month is now available to download and you should GO LISTEN TO IT NOW! Because it’s awesome. :D
